Today was a great day to be a trail runner in Houston.
Since December our goal at Houston Area Trail Runners was to provide a map to the public that would allow them to see the mileage on the trails and document some of the trails that have been overlooked in the past.
We were able today to hang out maps to members, guests and friends as we sat around and chatted about running, life and passions.
I want to tell you that this map is and was a labor of love. I spent many hours from 3am-6am before anyone was on the trails mapping, plotting and wheeling it all by hand. Even though the job was tedious I knew one day that the work would pay off.
So it comes with great pleasure and honor for us Houston Area Trail Runners to give you the map of the Ho Chi Minh Trails. It is a source of pride, love and admiration for us that we get to run here on a daily basis. We encourage all of you to come out and see the beautiful trails that there is at Memorial Park.
So thank you for Lukes Locker for the support and all of the riders, runners and people that I got to see along the way that were excited to see me wheeling it out. It made me want to get it done and present it to you today.
Here is a link to the full version so that you can print a full size copy.
